USA Swimming Athlete and Non-Athlete Education

Athlete Protection Training must be renewed annually.

​​In order for athletes to receive credit for Safe Sport training they complete, they must log in to their own USA Swimming account before starting the course. 

Creating an Account for 18 & Over Athletes and Non-athlete members (coaches, staff, officials, chaperones, etc.)

  • Go to https://hub.usaswimming.org/landing
  • Click Create a Login.
  • Enter your email address, and a username and password of your choice.
  • A verification code will be emailed.  Enter the code and log in to your account using the username and password you just created.
  • When asked if you’ve ever been a member of USA Swimming before, answer Yes (for athletes) and enter your USA Swimming athlete member ID.
  • Click Link Account.

Courses for 18&Over athlete members AND non-athlete members

  • SafeSport Athlete Protection Training (SafeSport Trained Core Course)
    • ​Refresher courses 1, 2, 3 are offered in subsequent years.

Log in to USA Swimming>Education> Course Catalog> Safe Sport Courses or All Courses> Athlete Protection Training.
 
Mobile Device
Log in to the USA Swimming app> go to the hamburger menu in the upper right> Safe Sport> Athlete Protection Training> Start Your Training/Login> hamburger menu in upper right (this time below the Logout button)> Education> Course Catalog> Safe Sport Courses or All Courses> Athlete Protection Training.

Creating an Account and Course For Youth Athletes (13-17)

Parents can log in to their USA Swimming account and create a youth login from their dashboard, by viewing their athlete's member card (under My Family) and following instructions to create the login.
