What is a Swim-A-Thon?
On Swim-A-Thon day, squads swim together during a two-hour time slot, and the goal of each athlete is to swim as many lengths as possible (200 is the maximum). To raise money for the Swim-A-Thon, swimmers receive pledges per length swum or flat donations from family members, friends, neighbors, and local businesses. Pledges and donations are tax-deductible and can be collected before or after the actual event.
A Swim-A-Thon is a great opportunity to bring the membership together for some outdoor fun while supporting our team! Parents help swimmers count their laps, and everyone is invited to partake in the pancake breakfast (swimmers eat for free!). We hope that everyone is able to get the whole family involved in the Swim-A-Thon and make this year's event the most successful one ever for the HEAT!
